Australia Reverse Phone Lookup

We have been getting multiple calls from an 03 number and an overseas private number - most if the time they shout at you and are down right rude and annoying. Already reported this to Telstra. Such a nightmare/harassment

Same story as everything listed already. Silence then Goodbye, 3 calls within the space of 5 minutes, no messages left, no one talks, getting a bit sick of it and would love to know how to get Telstra to trace the call back and put a stop to it, then again. I am a business owner and ok, there are different rules for calling a business, but, how is what this company doing any different to a nuisance call at home?

Call centre asking offering "cheaper calls on my land-line". Claimed to be calling from Melbourne, when quizzed about the 07 number, insisted she was in Melbourne, so I asked about the weather here today and she said she didn't know.

They keep ringing my cafe and same thing hanging up every day 3-10 times a day it's bullshit

I just had 3 calls from this number over 20 minutes at 7pm on my mobile. Didn't pick up as didn't recognise the number, then thought maybe I should call back in case it was an emergency or something. Called back twice, line just goes dead. Glad I didn't pick up after reading all this.

Rang and tried to tell me he had a great deal for me with there telecommunication service which was in Australia. Went on to tell me how much I will be saving then I asked him how can he get my service when I am in contract with Optus, phone hung up immediately.

Does anyone know how to block this number? The amount of calls is unnerving.

Getting up to 10 calls a day. If I use a different voice they will sometimes talk to me. They know our names and what plan we are on with Telstra and also how much our bills are if we go over. I told them I would go into a Telstra store and they lost it at me.

Every time I visit my mother she gets a call from this number.. It is blatant harassment.
Sometimes it remains silent for about 5seconds then an automated voice says 'goodbye' before disconnecting.
Another time my mum me on the phone and an Indian sounding chap told me that they needed to access the computer for Microsoft.
When I told him in a software engineer and there are no such repairs required he became argumentative and told me to log in to the computer, before telling me to 'get f*cked' and he disconnected the call.
My mother is in her late 60's and if I want there who knows what would have happened?!?!
Something needs to be done about this.

Received 5 calls from this number in the space of 3 mins. It was a Saturday, and I was working in the yard, so I missed it. Not sure if they were ringing my mobile number, or the work number that is transferred through to my mobile after hours. It is now blocked.

Told these clowns to stop calling me now I am getting 5 to 10 calls a day no one answers the phone how do you get them to stop calling I am on the do not call list but that doesn't seem to be working what do we do someone please find out

Yesterday I received 5 calls from this number. No on there and 5 seconds later they hang up. I am not usually home, my son is. It is that bad he does not answer our landline through the day. Today I had the same type of call from two different mobile numbers, exactly the same. We are thinking of getting rid of our landline, it has become a curse. We hate it.

Rang my home phone, was some Indian guy that I could hardly understand, he was asking if I had a computer and I said why? He said it had been sending out something (couldn't understand him) so I said I didn't have a computer and he started full on yelling through the phone saying I was lying to him lol I just hung up.

These clowns called and somehow got entangled crossed into a call that was a conference call between my solicitor and the Supreme Court of Queensland in Brisbane.

We asked them to hang up saying we are solicitors can't take the call and to take us off their list and the chap began to argue.

We now have them recorded as part of the court transcript of the particular matter that was the subject of the conference call.

The number 0756098660 keeps making crank phone call to our PRIVATE number! Considering all the people I have just found on google searching this number with complaints, telstra should be blocking this number, you have a duty of care. When you call this number back, which i have attempted several times it goes straight to an engaged signal.No one speaks when picked up, when they call.Let me know what you are going to do about this and give me a contact number for the service to have this number blocked from dialing mine.

Just had a call from this number saying their acting for Microsoft and my computer in downloading corrupt files. They went on to advise me that I need to log on so they can fix it, funny all week I have actually being trying to contact Microsoft as my hotmail password is not active. When I told Paul the Indian that I can't log in and suggested to him that he might be able to assist the call was ended.

This number has called my private Telstra home phone 3 times today. Same thing, silence and after a few seconds recorded message saying "goodbye". I would guess that this dodgy company has access to Telstra records so we should start complaining to Telstra about this and show them this web address for proof. ATTENTION: IF YOU'RE BEEN HARASSED BY THIS NUMBER CONFIRM YOUR CARRIER EG.TELSTRA.

I am constantly getting calls from this number & it just us silence then after 10 secs a automated message "Goodbye" then hangs up. I get up to 5 a day!

Received several call from what appears to be an Indian call centre. Most of the calls were coming up as Overseas private but one did come through as 0756098660. All calls were claiming to save us heaps of money on our phone bill. Its not initiated from Telstra because they knew I was with Telstra so it must be a marketing campaign that is initiated from another telephone service provider which operates in Australia.
What you have to do is get Telstra or whoever you are with to identify the origin of the incoming call, you will need to provide a date and time and the information should be there in the call records. I doubt the 07 number is the actual number they are using, its probably like a storefront number. Once you know what the originating number is then you should be able to do a bit of research and find out who the company or organisation is that are making these nuisance calls. A little bit more research might even reveal who in Australia they are working for.
If this seems too much trouble send an email or letter to the TIO (Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman) demanding that the number be tracked down to whoever is the initiator in Australia for these type of calls. If he gets enough emails he will certainly act.
If you have a suitable phone you can actually add the number to your blocked list and it will be filtered out and won't ring on your handset.

Does anyone know if these numbers can be stopped. Perhaps time to raise to politicians. This is harassment by any other name. A law was passed in 2003 for the spam act to stop email spam surely there must be a similar piece of legislation.

Had this number claiming to be selling me service better than Telstra, but asking my wife for lots of information she was unhappy to provide. This was apparently a problem and after three attempts to get out of the call nicely, I took the phone. The person on the end asked me to stop threatening him, which I had not yet done, and when I asked him to identify himself, he would not. Claimed to know what our phone bill was too.

Got a call from this number tonight, claiming they where telstra and where giving me big discounts. All I had to do was give out some personal info...... Very dodgy

Got calls from this number several times a week! Sometimes it would have no sound for 30 seconds and say Good Bye, sometimes someone with wired accent would ask to talk to the house owner, it you're not the owner he/she would say OK and Bye.

Called our Adelaide number - no-one there!!

Claiming they're from Direct Telecom it's a deregulate red I slovenly company, they yelled at me the first time when I said not interested called again next day asking to speak to phone number owner when I said they're not home promptly hung up on me! We have a private number and are on the do not call register not happy!!! It's obvious they are calling from overseas they claim also they are calling from NSW when it's a QLD area code

Rings then hangs up. No response on the other end, just hangs up.

I was asked to give details of my driver's licence over the phone, when I refused I was asked to only give the last 4 numbers, when I refused again the phone was put down in my ear.
I asked for their address, I was told it was 122 Arthur Street Nth Sydney. It is a fake address from them.
Much more occurred but to put it in a nutshell, Telstra (not the obsolete Telecom as they called themselves)are scam artists.

Spam caller, will be taking this number to Australian Consumers Affair to take this matter to action.
