I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER yet have had several calls form this number. I have added them to the reject list in my Moble phone. What is the point of the DO NOT CALL REGISTER if people like this ignore it!?

These people have rung my husband 6 times, and refuse to take no for an answer. They are ringing on behalf of Westpac. When I returned the last call,I got a recored message giving the number 1300 731 384 to stop the calls, but it is not operational. "Your call could not be connected etc" The caller told him she will keep ringing even though he said he felt he was being harassed 3 times in the 1 call. He tried to negotiate a 6 month call free period, but she said she will be ringing again in 3 months. He has aphasia (communication difficulty) due to 2 strokes, so this is pretty low. I've complained to Westpac, waiting for a reply.

Just got a call from them, some guy saying he's from St George and knew my name. Number isn't in the usual format of calls from them previously, asked for address and DOB.

I received a call from this number today, saying they were from St George. She knew my name, and asked me to confirm my address and date of birth which I thought was odd, then tried offering me a credit card.

This guy called me at 6.30 pm tonight and said it's a courtesy call from St. George Bank and asked for my IDs: birthdate and address. I've heard that criminals like to get your birthdate details etc to hack into your bank account. Where should I report him?

Received a call from this number today purporting to be from Westpac - customer satisfaction call. Asked me to confirm my address first up. I knew immediately it was not kosher. Told the caller I did not want to take the call. He hung up.

Have received 25 phone calls from this number over a 6 month period. Have no idea who they are - I take the view that if they can't leave a message at least once, then they must be dodgy..

I am on the do not call register and I have this number calling me every day, they have been doing so for the past 2 or so weeks, and at random times. I don't answer, and I am not a customer with Westpac and have not been for many years. Its extremely annoying.

Not impressed this number keeps calling after 7pm and even on weekends!
They don't leave a message so therefore can't be important.

Calling up to 3-4 times a day... never leave a message... I can not answer my phone at work... so I never get to talk to them... but I am glad I goggled the number and found out that I don't want to talk to them anyway...Thanks everyone!!!!

This number is Westpac. They have been spam-calling me. It's generally to offer credit cards or life insurance....

Just block them on your phone. They also call me all 3 days...
I am wondering which mobile provider you guys use, I use optus and my wife gets also calls from this number. I guess, that someone in Optus sells these numbers to companies. I never had such problems in Switzerland, only here in Australia...

Rang me asked for personal details, date of birth etc. Didn't give it. I did track the Company down.
Their real phone number is 02 8268 3605
Sykes Financial Services in homebush Bay Rhodes.
I spoke to an actual person who said they would take me off their list.
How can a Company like this keep operating!!!

Same as above. Received a missed call from this number. Put my phone on "No caller ID" and rang back. Received an answering message claiming to be working on behalf of Westpac and that I needed to ring another number to speak with a rep.
Can't believe Westpac would associate themselves with some a secretive scamming company.

Ppl from this phone number claims they are from Westpac and wanting to update my bank details. ummm....Hellooo..my bank would never call up to update my details over the phone. Must be a scam to get peoples personal details and bank account details. Where do I report this sort of thing to?

Have received a call from this number every day for the last 2 weeks on my mobile, it only rings a couple of times so by the time you answer they have gone. No message. When you ring the number it has a message with at number you can ring to opt out of them calling. Not sure why they are calling in the first place. Not happy really.

Call on my Mobile at work whilst in a meeting. Call went to voice mail - only an empty message without sound was recorded for approx 5-10 secs.
I am a Westpac customer but am yet to pick up a call from this number.

I receive a call from this number almost every weekday & its been going on for over a month now.
The funny thing is they are calling my WORK PHONE??? Not my mobile, a work landline?? Bizaare.
When I answer there is nobody there, no sound, & disconnects after about 3 secs...

Get this, activated a new prepaid sim with Telstra YESTERDAY new phone, new sim NOBODY knew the number EXCEPT for Telstra in the activation process. This number was the first call I received and I don't even have credit for my phone yet!!!

This number calls me once a day 6 days a week atleast five times I have told them to stop calling me and to take me off there callers list. And suprise suprise they still call so I've had to set my phone to automatically reject that number. Annoying oricks

Keep receiving annoying calls from this company claiming to be Westpac. I have also had 12 missed calls from the same number.
When I call it back an answer machine tells you to call a 13*** number to stop the calls that isn't even Westpac!

Had a call from this number this morning. First time for me, seems like many of you have had multiple calls. No one actually spoke, all i could hear was breathting.
Many of you are saying the caller identifies themselves as calling on behalf of WESTPAC. I wonder how many of you actually bank with WESTPAC i dont i sure DON'T

A family member answered but they hung up as soon as they answered. I will keep you informed as I have emailed sykesAUSfinancialservices@sykes.com and asked them to remove me from their calling list. I used a junk email account and I will inform you if I start getting any spam also.

Had a missed call from this number today, tried to call back but recording said all circuits are busy now, thought it could be st george chasing payment but that has already been done so don't know why this number would be calling me now, glad I didn't pick up after seeing comments from other people who have been annoyed by this number, very dodgy

Got a call from this number , asking for my details and confirmation of where I live... I said if you wet from St George you would already know that and I am not giving you any other details... She persisted in saying she was from St George bank about my business accounts... I said I am not telling you nothing ... Called and reported to fraud but they said it has to be reported to the police ....

got a call this evening from this number. The caller caimed to be from the bank of Melbourne and that she was calling to make a special offer, but could I first confirm (ie tell her) my name, address and date of birth. Hey, I don't think so. Watch out - sounds like scammers or ID theives.

Been getting multiple missed calls from this number, I picked up once and they hung up. Very annoying. Googled the phone number. Saw someone on facebook found out it was an outsourced marketing company called Sykes on behalf of Westpac. The person complained on Westpac's FB page and this was their response:

Hi ###, thanks for your question. Sykes rings on behalf of Westpac with offers from Westpac. The operator should identify themselves as ringing from Sykes on behalf of Westpac. Sykes does abide by Westpac's privacy policy. If you'd rather not receive marketing calls, please send us a private message with your full name, contact number and post code and we can remove for you. Spencer

Two months ago I was getting a call a day at exactly the same time of day each time (5pm) and when I answered no one was there. I rang the number back after a week of this and the number was identified to me as Westpac. The female I spoke to said they must have just missed me every time I answered the phone and coincidently hung up right at the same time. I said I didn't think so, they were using machines to ring, and I expressed my annoyance. I said they had to immediately stop calling me, I wanted nothing they had to offer, and the calls have not returned.

Received a call from this number, lady stated she was a representative of WESTPAC bank and wanted to increase my credit limit on my card, i felt it was dodgy so rang my bank and gave them the number, they said they are inded reps of the bank and the offer was legitimate

The number could have only been obtained they rang upon from a Baltic crime group currently under investigation using an American call centre. They only phone 2 minutes and use dodgey emails. Ask you to deposit funds to either Western Union or Iremit. They steal funds electronically using a victim to transfer stolen funds as either a dating scam a UN scam or other. Fund's are stolen during uni semester break. They even pretend to be your bank fraud unit. Break onto bank as cleaner security whatever using phone's fax share price security, its their reverse sting paranoia which sounds so plausible. The steal photos off Facebook. They're not the real deal. Most banks have a policy of not working back after hour's. They usetwo other numbers too.

This number consistently calls my phone and does not answer when I answer the call, probably an automated dial out on multiple lines so the call never actually reaches me because some other poor Joe has to deal with it...how annoying and the number is now blocked in my phone...good riddence

Caller said that they were calling from St George to offer me a "special deal" on life insurance policy, and started to ask for highly sensitive information, including account number.
Called the number back, says they are from Sykes working on behalf of Westpac, and provided the actual Sykes number 1300 731 384, to discontinue similar calls and promotions.
I called St George, and they noted that it did not sound legitimate.

I have been getting calls from this number for the last two years and they are not even looking for me. I have complained to the callers several times and they promised me that they would remove my number from their data base.............guess what? I still get calls daily!!!
