This number keeps calling my mobile, when I answer they hang up from their end. When I call back I ALWAYS get a busy signal.

I have received about 14 calls from the above number to my mobile and probably 11 to my home number, why? do they just hang up and not try and do the scam thing?or are they just checking to see if I am home or not???can't Telstra block it ? I agree with 'Peter' it has been since the Asthma foundation has been calling and continuing to call; coincidentally...

I keep getting calls from that number but it cuts out when i answer or gives an engaged sound. It is very annoying. Surely the relevant government department can do something about it, e.g., delete the use of that number.

received 2 calls on my mobile. I tried to ring the No. back & either had a busy line or they just don't answer. I registered the No. as a spam No. on my phone

Have been getting quite a few calls from them lately. Oddly enough it's been since I asked the Asthma Foundation to stop calling me. They are in my block list now.

Received a lot of calls to my mobile number from this number. I finally worked out I can block that number on my iPhone by going into the recent calls list, then selecting the info button next to the time of the call, scroll down the Info screen and at the bottom is an option to Block this Caller. Once selected then no calls will come through from that number again.

Same problem as the rest of you, they should be ashamed and its us the tax payer paying for their thousands of calls during the day. I too have given money to them and have stopped it due to there annoying calls. Im also frustrated with charities in shopping centres pestering you as you walk past, I've had enough of it. BTW if you feel I'm heartless, i was in afghanistan and broke my back, you don't see me asking for a hand out. Life is what it is.

Yes just missed a call from this number so googled it and found all these complaints. I take it that its the Mater Lotteries but whoever it is harassing ordinary people should be ashamed of themselves as I am a Centrelink Recipient and I voluntarily purchase tickets through the Mater Lotteries to support the Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane, not too support telemarketer's harassing people.

I buy approx $30 worth of tickets a draw, set up automatically.
I have told them previous that all I want and not to call to try up sell.
They still ring so now I am cancelling my subscription altogether!

Ok so if these calls are from the Mater Prize Home Lotteries what do they achieve by hanging up or not responding when you answer. Wouldn't you try to sell tickets if that was the purpose of the call? It makes no sense to call and not respond if answered. Just stupid waste of time & money.

Constantly receiving calls for this number. Turns out it’s the Mater Hospital prise draw. I already give $50 per month and this constant barrage of calls asking me to donate more is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I think it’s time to donate to a charity that won’t hassle me on a daily basis for more. I already give what I can afford.

I am constantly getting phones calls from these people even though i am on the Do Not Call register. Im am disgusted that these people are cold calling me every month even though I already donate $50 a month to them

I receive calls from this number on both my mobile and home phone daily, I am fed up with the calls, I am on the don't call register and this is coming from a Queensland phone number, even if the call isn't directly in australia they should not be allowed to use an australian based phone number. What is the point of being registered on the don't call register if they can get away with doing this. Something needs to change.

I too have been receiving many calls from this number no message is being left on my voicemail. I emailed Marter lotteries and asked for my number to be removed they replied that they were sorry and would remove my number but I am still getting calls from this number. Most annoying.

Had about 10 calls from this number over the last 3 days. Was about to ring them back to see who it was. Thankfully I googled the number first. I do have tickets in Mater lotteries so if it is them trying to sell me more I won't be impressed at all, they can forget my membership for sure.

Can anyone at all tell me how to block these calls. Over many weeks constant calls, which we no longer answer. Caller ID says overseas call. Have contacted Telstra who tell us they cannot block as the calls come from the internet.

I have had this number call more than once.
They ring and hangup as soon as you pickup.
If it was Mater Hospital / Foundation it could be to a marketing strategy to get customers on call lists, this is not uncommon.
I am a VIP, so I should not be receiving calls and have returned call a number of time yet - Line Busy.

I understand it to be Mater Lottery - was actually buying the tickets, thought they were calling to say I had won something, only to find out they want me to increase number of tickets. Have decided to cancel all monthly tickets I was purchasing.

This number called my mobile. I didn't get to answer it since I was busy at that time. I thought the number was from someone I expected to call so I was planning to call it back. So I did research and stumbled to this post. Good thing I didn't call back. My phone credits would then be wasted on calling back a possible telemarketer.

This number called my mobile and hung-up when I answered. Someone just showed me how to block unwanted calls on iPhone - go to recent calls, click on the i symbol on the right, scroll to the bottom and select Block Caller. nice.

Same as everyone else, rings a few times never leaves a message, when ya ring back always busy. A few weeks ago I was getting calls from a 1300 no. The guys name was Anthony he was harassing me. Then he tried the same knapper with a mobile number now this I am certain it the same moron. I found out that he was ringing from a company call Mercantile Credit collectors, trying to get information from me for some ones else's credit problem. So I'm just putting it out maybe this is the same person. He is obnoxious and rude.

It's a Mater lottery telemarketer...if you have ever ordered tickets in their lotteries they are ringing for you to order more tickets, but it's a marketing company doing the selling

In just three days, I have received nearly 10 phone calls from this number, believed to be the sales line for a prize home raffle draw.
